Job Responsibility

  • Provide strategic financial leadership and manage all aspects of the company's financial operations in Japan
  • Oversee accounting, financial planning, business control, internal audits, and manage shared procurement and legal functions, ensuring alignment with global guidelines
  • Manage accounting teams and oversee general accounting, accounts receivable, and treasury functions
  • Lead monthly closing processes and financial reporting to parent companies
  • Handle local tax matters and implement corporate financial procedures
  • Prepare yearly budgets, revised budgets, and 3-year plans, with rigorous budget control and margin analysis
  • Conduct feasibility studies for investments and analyze marketing expenditures
  • Oversee Enterprise Risk and Internal Control Assessment (ERICA), audits, and risk assessments
  • Define purchasing strategies and drive efficiency in procurement processes
  • Provide legal advisory, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage contracts

Requirements

  • Years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles, along with experience in a senior management position
  • Proven experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), budgeting, forecasting, and management accounting
  • Strong understanding of internal controls, risk management, and corporate governance
  • Experience in luxury retail industry
  • Knowledge of Japanese accounting standards (JGAAP) and tax regulations
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in both Japanese and English
