Job Responsibility:
Process Development: Play a vital role in developing the next generation of Direct Air Capture technology
Support the Process Development team in modelling, validating and optimizing the carbon capture process
CFD Analysis: Perform CFD analysis to predict and optimize the air flow across systems at various scales
Collaboration with Mechanical Design: Collaborate closely with mechanical design colleagues across departments
Contribute to the design of new structures, vessels, and plant architectures
Provide pressure, velocity, and other boundary conditions to design engineers
Model Development: Drive the improvement roadmap for CFD models
Develop new techniques to enhance the accuracy and applicability of simulations
Validation & Measurement: Plan, execute, and evaluate validation measurements
Draw meaningful conclusions from findings
Collaborate with Testing teams to ensure models are robust and well-calibrated
Communication & Presentation: Communicate results, findings, and observations clearly and concisely to peers
Present them in technical reviews
Requirements:
Proactive and innovative process, mechanical or aerospace engineer
At least 5 years of experience in Computational Fluid Dynamics
Strong technical background in thermodynamics, porous media, airflow, and/or thermal energy modelling
Proven experience in running CFD simulations
Solid understanding of fluid mechanics
Experience in evaluating the behaviour of complex gas phase systems
Proficient in Ansys Fluent/CFX and geometry meshing tools (Workbench, Fluent Mesher, Discovery, Space Claim, etc.)
Proactive, innovative, and collaborative
Can work across disciplines and support others in their activities
Looking for a challenge, and are not afraid of taking risks and trying out new things
English is the working language – no other language skills are required
