Job Description:

A hospital in Vallejo, CA, is seeking Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists to provide coverage for a variety of surgical cases, including General, Orthopedic, Urology, Gynecology, Gastrointestinal, Head & Neck, Thoracic, Neurosurgery, ENT, and Obstetrics. Patient population is all adults. No cardiac cases and no expected pediatrics.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct pre-anesthesia patient assessments
  • Educate patients and families on anesthesia and post-procedure recovery
  • Administer anesthesia through various methods (injection, inhalation, or oral medication)
  • Monitor patients during surgery and adjust anesthesia as needed
  • Ensure patient safety during anesthesia recovery
  • Maintain and operate anesthesia equipment
  • Document all patient care and anesthesia records in the Cerner EMR system
  • Stay updated on current anesthesia practices

Requirements:

  • Active California CRNA license
  • Board Certification
  • Proficiency in Cerner EMR
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
  • Proof of COVID vaccination
