Job Description:

Astrya Global, a San Diego–based medical staffing agency, is looking for experienced CRNAs to provide weekday and weekend coverage, including 12-hour night shifts. This role serves a high-acuity, underserved adult population (primarily ASA III+), largely Spanish-speaking, with limited access to preventative care. These positions are 6-month locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide anesthesia care for a high-acuity adult patient population (primarily ASA III+)
  • Perform OB anesthesia services, including C-sections and labor epidurals (required)
  • Deliver anesthesia for a broad case mix including GI, Neurology, GYN, and Interventional Radiology
  • Manage “bread-and-butter” cases independently
  • no cardiac or transplant cases
  • Conduct independent pre-operative evaluations, assessments, and patient workups
  • Develop and implement anesthesia plans tailored to medically complex patients
  • Work within a care-team model, collaborating 1:1 with a physician anesthesiologist
  • Serve as the sole CRNA on site during assigned shifts, ensuring safe and efficient coverage
  • Monitor patients intraoperatively and manage post-anesthesia recovery and handoffs
  • Provide culturally competent care to a primarily Spanish-speaking, underserved population

Requirements:

  • Active California CRNA license
  • Board Certification
  • Proficiency in Cerner EMR
  • 2 Years Experience
