Job Responsibility:
Responsible for many aspects of the mail order prescription process
May be assigned to work all areas of the dispensing pharmacy including product selection, packing and shipping
Perform any of the following functions: manual filling and packing, fill medications for automated machines, Quality Sampling of medications from automated machine, packing orders using automated packing machinery
May be asked to support the shipping handler functions such as manually metering packages and placement of packages to be sorted for shipment
Responsibility of maintaining licensure and compliance training
Flexibility to perform duties across multiple functional areas
Requirements:
Verifiable high school diploma or GED required
Illinois Pharmacy Technician License (IDFPR)
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification through PTCB or ExCPT through NHA required for all those licensed after 2008
Newly licensed Technicians have 2 years from license effective date to obtain their certification
Basic computer proficiency
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
Position requires standing throughout the entire shift
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Problem-solving ability
Collaborative team-oriented mindset
Ability to read and comprehend English
Ability to perform basic math (including dosage and days’ supply calculations)
Physical ability to stand for extended periods, reach, twist, bend, stoop, walk, and lift up to 40 lbs.

Ability to work mandatory overtime/extended work week when needed
Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to new processes, technologies, and workflow changes
