We are looking for a detail-oriented Certified Payroll Administrator to join our team in Irvine, California. This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone with expertise in payroll reporting, prevailing wage compliance, and union regulations, particularly within the construction industry. The role requires a strong understanding of labor laws and advanced documentation practices to ensure accuracy and compliance in payroll processes.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare and submit weekly certified payroll reports, such as Form WH-347, to government agencies to ensure compliance
Verify worker classifications and pay rates to meet the requirements of the Davis-Bacon Act and prevailing wage laws
Review subcontractor payroll submissions to maintain accuracy and adherence to compliance standards
Maintain detailed records of prevailing wages, fringe benefits, and union deductions for auditing purposes
Ensure payroll processes align with multi-state regulations and company policies
Utilize construction-specific payroll software, including ADP Workforce Now, to manage full-cycle payroll for 101-500 employees
Monitor and address discrepancies in payroll data to resolve issues promptly
Provide guidance on labor law compliance and best practices to internal teams and subcontractors
Requirements:
Proven experience in managing full-cycle payroll processes, particularly for 101-500 employees
Expertise in multi-state payroll practices and compliance with labor laws
Proficiency in using ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll systems
Strong knowledge of the Davis-Bacon Act and related prevailing wage regulations
Familiarity with construction industry payroll software and reporting tools
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate records
Ability to analyze and resolve payroll discrepancies effectively
Excellent communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and subcontractors
