As our Assistant Occupational Therapist, you will provide designated occupational therapy-related services as outlined in the patient's plan of care, all under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. Every day you will deliver care and service to a diverse patient population, ranging from acutely ill to rehabilitating individuals across neonatal through geriatric age groups. To be successful in this role you will demonstrate a profound understanding of the functional and/or developmental age of each individual served, ensuring the provision of compassionate and effective therapy that supports their unique needs and promotes their recovery and well-being.
Job Responsibility
Provide designated occupational therapy-related services as outlined in the patient's plan of care, under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
Deliver care and service to a diverse patient population, ranging from acutely ill to rehabilitating individuals across neonatal through geriatric age groups
Demonstrate a profound understanding of the functional and/or developmental age of each individual served, ensuring the provision of compassionate and effective therapy that supports their unique needs and promotes their recovery and well-being
Allow for privacy and modesty in the provision of care
Identify self by name and title to patient/family
Determine presence/type of Advanced Directive
Report suspected cases of abuse/neglect, if identified
Understand role of, and how to access, the Bioethics Committee
Establish presence of consent prior to treatment/procedures
Requirements
Diploma Graduate of an School of Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Training, upon hire
Occupational Therapy Assistant: CA, upon hire
Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
