Job Description:

Baptist Health is seeking a compassionate and experienced Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Pediatric Hematology/Oncology UnitFull-Time Nights position with shifts of 7:00pm-7:00am. This is a located at Wolfson Children's Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. We are looking for Certified Nursing Assistant candidates who thrive in a fast-paced environment and focus on providing quality patient care. Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) assist RNs supporting in the care of patients. Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) work under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN). This unit is responsible for caring for all diagnosis of childhood cancer as well as Bone Marrow Transplants, Car-T cell infusion, MIBG infusions, sickle cell care, newly diagnosed diabetics, orthopedic surgeries, and trauma patients.

Job Responsibility:

  • Patient activities of daily living
  • Maintaining a safe environment for patients
  • Collecting lab specimens
  • Intake and output monitoring
  • Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • Blood glucose checks
  • Urine dips for patients receiving chemotherapy

Requirements:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Licensed Certified Nursing Assistant Required
