CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT (CNA) –PACE- POSITION SUMMARY The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position plays a crucial role in supporting participants by assisting with daily living activities and delivering restorative and supportive care. This position ensures a safe and healthy home environment, actively monitors and reports on participants' health statuses, and upholds a secure and nurturing atmosphere for individuals in the PACE program.
Job Responsibility
Assists participants and or supervises with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, hair care, mouth care, eating, hand and foot nail care and toileting) in the home as assigned or needed
Monitors and assists participants with meals at feeding table
Performs and or assists with laundry, including clothes for participants
Assists the Drivers with the loading and unloading of participants from vehicles
Reports changes in participant’s condition and needs to the RN or other appropriate staff
Provides physical assistance to each participant when needed as he/she boards and disembarks from the program’s vehicles
Performs other duties as required or requested
Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent required
State Licensure of Unencumbered Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) including evidence of no restrictions found in the State Nurse Aide Registry
Must have an active and up-to-date certification in CPR
ServSafe certification is required (Certification will be attained post-employment if not already certified)
A minimum of one-year experience in working with the frail or elderly population
Must have medical clearance for communicable diseases and up-to-date immunizations before having direct participant contact
Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and have means of transportation
