Job Description

Blue Ridge Independence at Home is a Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). Job Responsibility

  • Assist participants with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, eating, toileting, hand and foot nail care)
  • Support mealtime needs, including feeding assistance when necessary
  • Help with laundry and light household tasks to maintain a clean, safe environment
  • Safely assist participants entering and exiting program vehicles
  • Monitor and promptly report changes in participants' conditions to nursing staff
  • Contribute to a positive, supportive home environment for each participant
  • Perform other care-related duties as needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Active, unencumbered CNA license in good standing and current CPR certification (required)
  • Minimum one year working with older adults or individuals with complex care needs
  • Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation
  • Medical clearance for communicable diseases and up-to-date immunizations prior to direct participant contact
