Job Description

As our Certified Medical Assistant at CHI St. Vincent Heart Clinic of Arkansas, North Little Rock location, you will help patients navigate their heart health journey by providing essential clinical support so they can achieve optimal cardiac well-being. Every day you will perform a variety of clinical tasks, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and assisting with procedures. You will be expected to accurately document patient information, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team.

Job Responsibility

  • Support and maintain patient flow to reduce patient wait times during clinic
  • Efficiently manage time by prioritizing each patients’ needs
  • Return/ Direct patient phone calls
  • Record/ verify medical records such as medical histories, medication reconciliations, and vital signs
  • Coordinate with hospital admissions and laboratory services
  • Diagnostic Testing: EKGs, Stress Echos, Lab, Nuclear Medicine
  • Assist clinic RN staff as needed

Requirements

  • High School Graduate Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant school., upon hire or
  • High School GED Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant school., upon hire
  • Certified Medical Assistant AAMA, upon hire or
  • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, upon hire or
  • Certified Medical Assistant NHA, upon hire or
  • National Certified Medical Assistant NCCT, upon hire or
  • National Registered/Certified Medical Assistant NAHP, upon hire or
  • Registered Medical Assistant AMT, upon hire or
  • Registered Medical Assistant, upon hire or
  • Cert Med Asst - MMCI, upon hire and
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, within 30 Days
