Job Description

As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), you will be a vital pillar of our care team, significantly impacting patient well-being through direct support and seamless coordination. Every day, you will actively collaborate on comprehensive screenings, assist with clinical procedures, provide essential health education, and expertly manage administrative tasks, leveraging technology to coordinate care for diverse patient populations. You will ensure patients feel at ease, patiently explaining instructions and addressing their concerns. To be successful in this role, you will possess strong clinical knowledge, technological fluency, genuine compassion for patient well-being, and an adaptable spirit keen on continuous learning and collaborative teamwork.

Job Responsibility

  • Serves as a float pool resource to various clinics within designated, local region
  • Performs routine patient care responsibilities such as taking vital signs, venipuncture (blood draws), collect specimens, EKGs/ECGs, and POCTs
  • Collects patient history, performs medication reconciliation and enters information in the electronic medical record
  • Notes the primary complaint/reason for patient’s visit
  • Sets up instruments and equipment for medical provider (MD, DO, PA NP)
  • Assist with procedures as needed

Requirements

  • High School Graduate General Studies, upon hire or High School GED General Studies, upon hire
  • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, upon hire or Certified Medical Assistant AAMA, upon hire or Certified Medical Assistant NHA, upon hire or National Certified Medical Assistant NCCT, upon hire or National Registered/Certified Medical Assistant NAHP, upon hire or Registered Medical Assistant AMT, upon hire or Registered Medical Assistant, upon hire or Cert Med Asst - MMCI, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, within 30 Days
