JLL is seeking a skilled and proactive 3rd Shift Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of facility and production equipment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong mechanical and electrical skills who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to upholding the highest standards of safety and operational excellence. This position is critical for ensuring our facility operates smoothly and efficiently during evening hours with minimal disruption.
Job Responsibility:
Perform Maintenance and Repairs: Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including HVAC, conveyors, production machinery, and other facility equipment
Preventive Maintenance (PM): Execute the scheduled PM program to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime. This includes lubrication, inspections, and component replacement
Respond to Service Calls: Address urgent and routine maintenance requests submitted through our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) in a timely and efficient manner
Conduct Safety Inspections: Perform routine inspections of equipment and systems to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance work performed, including parts used and time spent, within the CMMS
Shift Handoff: Communicate effectively with 1st and 3rd shift teams to ensure a seamless transition, providing clear updates on ongoing projects, completed tasks, and any outstanding issues
Maintain Work Area: Keep maintenance shops, storage areas, and work sites clean, organized, and safe
Requirements:
A minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a maintenance mechanic in an industrial, manufacturing, or distribution environment
High school diploma or GED required
A certificate from a technical or vocational school in a related field (e.g., industrial maintenance, electrical technology) is highly preferred
Strong proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems
Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyor systems, and motors is essential
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
Basic plumbing and carpentry skills are a plus
Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members and management
A commitment to safety and quality in all aspects of work
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb ladders for extended periods
Willingness to work in an environment that may involve exposure to noise, dust, and temperature variations
