Job Description:

Put your Red Seal chops to work as a Certified Heavy Duty Mechanic at our world class Radium Hot Springs, BC Sawmill. Show us that you can diagnose and repair mobile equipment and we’ll provide you access to a variety of machines that could use your skilled touch.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct regular maintenance checks on heavy-duty equipment
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
  • Identify and troubleshoot problems with engines, transmissions, braking systems, and other components
  • Utilize diagnostic tools (ET) and technical manuals to pinpoint issues
  • Perform routine inspections and replace worn or damaged parts
  • Use welding and fabrication skills to repair or modify equipment components
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities
  • Provide detailed reports on the condition of equipment
  • Contacts vendors to provide parts quotes and lead times communicating this with your supervisor

Requirements:

  • Red Seal Certification
  • Experience with hydraulics and welding
  • Superior troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner

Nice to have:

Knowledge of Cat, Kalmar and Taylor equipment
