Job Description

Our operating unit provides underground utility services, and we are looking for a Certified Flagger to join our team. This position requires organization, timeliness, accuracy and great focus to detail and safety.

Requirements

  • Must be ATTSA CERTIFIED
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to handle working in the different climates
  • Understand flagging operations
  • Work as a team to keep everyone safe
  • Great decision-making ability
  • Valid Driver License with a clean driving record
  • DOT Medical card will be required before eligible to drive a company vehicle
  • Must have great communication skills
  • A positive can-do attitude and openness to trying things new ways

Nice to have

Hardworking, honest, dependable, and some knowledge of construction would be helpful but not necessary

  • Inspectors inspect for quality, based on visual inspection, sampling, and testing of materials
  • Inspectors may be required to take photographs, file reports, and perform field sampling, and measure and document quantities of work-performed daily
  • Inspectors shall record findings in field logs book or computer. Use of Site Manager and other LaDOTD formats are required
  • Inspection of highway work may be required at times, including serving as the principle inspector on the project
  • In addition to inspection duties, some review of the construction layout will be required
  • Duties could require nighttime inspection and out of town travel and extended stays for projects in Louisiana
  • Duties could/will include climbing of ladders, stairs and working at heights
