Job Description:

Certified Accountant — or on the path to becoming one! At We Are Meta, we don’t do accounting “by the book” just for the sake of it. We do it to create impact, support decision-making, and help companies grow — with rigor, but also with a digital and human mindset. If you’re a Certified Accountant and you believe numbers tell stories, we want to talk to you.

Job Responsibility:

  • Be the technical lead for all accounting and tax processes for the group, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely delivery across all entities
  • Ensure reliable, well-organized, drama-free accounting
  • Record, classify, and reconcile accounting data with great attention to detail
  • Monthly and annual closings (yes, deadlines included)
  • Prepare and submit tax obligations (VAT, IRS, CIT, IES, etc.)
  • Work closely with internal teams and clients
  • Help turn data into useful insights for decision-making

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Certified Accountant
  • Solid knowledge of Portuguese accounting and tax regulations
  • Experience with accounting software (Primavera, Sage, or similar)
  • Excel doesn’t scare you (you might even enjoy some formula gymnastics)
  • Ability to manage deadlines and multiple tasks
  • Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail
  • Critical thinking and autonomy
  • Good communication skills — with both clients and the team
  • Team spirit and collaborative mindset
  • Strong time and priority management skills
  • A genuine desire to learn, grow, and continuously improve
What we offer:
  • Apple Music, Apple TV+, and Apple Arcade — on us
  • Remote-friendly, with a base in Lisbon
  • Flexible working hours
  • Health insurance
  • 22 vacation days per year, plus Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, Carnival, and your Birthday off
  • Friday afternoons off — start enjoying your weekend earlier
