The Centre Manager is responsible for the effective leadership and management of the Centre's operations. This includes overseeing Centre staff, maintaining student discipline and welfare, and managing financial responsibilities. The Centre Manager ensures the Centre's day-to-day operations run smoothly, particularly in relation to the activity programmes.
Job Responsibility:
Promote and safeguard the welfare of all students under your care and those you interact with
Inspire, manage, and lead a team committed to students' development and welfare
Maintain the highest standards of Health & Safety, safeguarding, and HR practices within the Centre
Ensure the Centre operates within pre-determined budgets and oversee all administrative processes
Maximise student and group leader satisfaction by ensuring their experience meets or exceeds expectations
Train, induct, and motivate the Centre team, fostering a culture of excellence
Monitor and manage staff performance, ensuring adherence to safe and healthy practices
Conduct meetings and inductions for students and Group Leaders
Review and manage accurate occupancy, accounting, and room allocation plans
Liaise with the Recruitment Team to address staffing requirements effectively
Support the Activity Management, Welfare, and Accommodation teams
Complete and update staff rotas, ensuring accuracy for payroll processing within deadlines set by the Operations Manager
Coordinate student arrivals and departures, ensuring adherence to established procedures
Build and maintain positive relationships with third-party partners and stakeholders
Requirements:
Degree-level education or equivalent (or currently pursuing)
Valid First Aid Certificate (desirable)
Safeguarding Level 1 and 2 (desirable)
Proven management experience in junior education or learning
Previous experience working with juniors
Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively
Experience in roles involving logistics, organization, or travel
Proficiency in IT systems, including Outlook and MS Office (especially Excel)
Must be eligible to work in the EU
Commitment to safeguarding the welfare of children and young people

Proof of identity and qualifications (if applicable) required
Clear Criminal Record Check and references must be provided before signing the contract
Nice to have:
Experience managing a summer school environment
Leadership of multiple departments or teams
Knowledge of Malta
Fluent in written and spoken English (knowledge of any other languages is considered advantageous)
