Job Description

Monitors all incoming alarm signals received at the proprietary central station. Properly documents all responses for the alarm in the alarm monitoring software. Verifies validity of the alarm and notifies the proper authorities and/or key personnel based on the type of alarm signal. Provides support to overnight route drivers as needed.

Job Responsibility

  • Monitors and processes incoming alarm signals
  • Provides non-peak hour support to route drivers and Risk Management
  • Works with technicians and installers in the field to verify alarm signals
  • Notifies the proper authorities and/or key personnel based on the type of alarm signal processed
  • Performs code changes on alarm panel for each store location as needed
  • Properly documents all responses for the alarm in the alarm monitoring software
  • Interacts daily with stores and distribution center personnel to provide support on arming and disarming their alarm systems
  • Maintains a professional, courteous, and calm attitude when working with store personnel and other employees of O’Reilly Automotive
  • Maintains the confidentiality of privileged information entrusted or known by virtue of the position held

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to type at least 35 words per minute
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, email)
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and detail oriented
  • Must have a reliable work ethic
  • Must pass a drug screening

2-3 years of previous office experience

  • Manage escalations and assist with high-priority incidents or customer issues
  • Monitor Driver calls and assist with high priority calls
  • Take all First Alerts, After Hours Risk Management Call and Disaster calls and send appropriate reports
  • Ensure team adherence to UL, FM, and other applicable regulations and standards
