Job Description

Provides overall leadership to the GROWMARK FS, LLC Central Region employees and coordinates all sales, operations, public relations and control activities within the trade area in a profitable manner. Trains, organizes and directs employees in a fashion which will generate increased profitable sales and adequate levels of service. Collaborates with other supervisory personnel to insure overall profit and company growth.

Job Responsibility

  • Generates Profitable Sales by maintaining present business and generating new sales
  • Maintains a current competitive analysis and reports all potential competitor status changes to management
  • Conducts direct sales activity and supports sales personnel in obtaining targeted key accounts
  • Operates at a profitable level by monitoring and controlling expenses
  • Maintains price structure to be profitable and generate new business
  • Controls product shrinkage and maintains inventory levels within guidelines
  • Coordinates inventory purchases with procurement personnel, key suppliers, crop centers and GROWMARK FS, LLC to achieve desired inventory levels
  • Monitors facility equipment, product storage methods, application procedures, disposal methods, transportation procedures and employee activities to minimize environmental exposure and liability
  • Participates in complaint handling and negotiates claim settlements to minimize liability and maintain customer satisfaction
  • Administers sales activities by implementing and monitoring sales and promotional programs, sales administration and territory analysis programs
  • Develops and supports sales programs to address specific and specialty markets within assigned region
  • Develops and implements an effective sales administration plan that includes setting expectations, training, regular in-field coaching, measuring results, and follow-up
  • Ensures adequate service levels are met by maintaining equipment and facilities and communicates current, future and anticipated equipment and facility upgrades and needs to GROWMARK FS, LLC management
  • Responsible for ensuring assigned product sales team and/or location managers comply with government regulatory requirements, safety standards and company policies and procedures
  • Recruits, selects, and retains quality personnel through training, coaching, and counseling to develop individual talents
  • Conducts and assists with training and informational meetings
  • Performs public relations functions by maintaining contacts with agricultural related businesses and organizations, and encourages local involvement with Farm Youth Organizations
  • Supports company goals and objectives through collaboration efforts
  • Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Normally requires a college degree in a business-related field or the equivalent thereof, and 5 years or more of business related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of leadership and the ability to supervise employees, generate profitable sales, and gain market share
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
  • Ability to work extended hours and travel independently and overnight
  • Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position

  • Effectively recruit, develop, promote and retain talented professionals across the NAM investments organization
  • Effectively engage, leverage, and partner with ICG Markets, CIM and CIM-Alts to provide exceptional investment offerings to CPB clients
  • In accordance with goals set by the Private Bank Regional Head and the Private Bank Global Head of Investments, deliver continued revenue growth through managing the cost to income ratio, proactively managing expenses and consolidating the business across the region, creating operational efficiencies and achieving agreed financial targets
