Job Description

Chester Race Company have the fantastic opportunity for a dedicated individual to join us within the Horseradish Catering division. The successful Cellar Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Cellar Manager in the smooth and safe running of the cellar and the secure storage and efficient transfer of stock around Chester Race Company sites and event locations.

Job Responsibility

  • Taking in deliveries of stock and transferring into the cellar efficiently
  • Following goods receiving procedures
  • Identifying and monitoring stock approaching use by dates
  • Actively reporting and separating out-of-date stock to ensure it does not end up in circulation
  • Assisting Horseradish events and bar training events to monitor breakdowns of stock and clean sites (both on & off-site events when required)
  • Assist with Bangor-on-Dee racecourse bar set up, product placement and opening stock counts
  • Monitoring and reporting cellar & bar maintenance issues
  • Issuing stock to onsite bars

Requirements

  • Experience within the bar or events industry
  • Physically fit and able to manoeuvre heavy / bulky loads
  • Ability to manage workload in a pressured environment
  • Detail orientated and self-motivated
