Job Description

GRAEF has a new opportunity for an FDOT CEI Inspector that will be able to work on a variety of transportation projects in the FL Panhandle and NW Florida regions. Our CEI Inspector could reside anywhere in the Florida Panhandle or NW FL regions. We are looking for candidates interested in performing the duties of a CEI Inspector, on a variety of transportation projects in the NW Florida region or Panhandle. Our FDOT CEI Inspector would report remotely to our Orlando FL office, but could reside anywhere in the Florida Panhandle or NW FL region.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform work on projects in the NW Florida region, under the general supervision of GRAEF's CEI Construction Engineer and/or Project Administrator or Senior Inspector
  • Perform technical assignments in construction layout, making/checking engineering computations, inspecting construction work, and conducting field tests

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction inspection on a variety of bridge and/or roadway projects
  • Have ability to perform work in the NW FL region
  • It is preferred that candidates currently hold the following certifications: CTQP Final Estimates Level I
  • CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level I
  • CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I
  • CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I
  • FDOT Intermediate MOT
  • Can obtain these additional CTQP qualifications/Other jurisdictional certifications within 6 months from date of hire: CTQP Pile Driving Inspection
  • CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection
  • IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I
  • Nuclear Radiation Safety
  • FL Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and Contractors
