Job Description:

A fast growing, Multi-disciplinary Construction Consultancy is seeking a CDM Principal Designer to join their expanding Health and Safety team. This is an excellent opportunity for a CDM Principal Designer to work on a broad range of projects including commercial office fit-outs, residential developments and public sector schemes.

Job Responsibility:

  • Delivering CDM Principal Designer duties in line with CDM 2015 regulations across multiple projects
  • Advising clients on their statutory responsibilities
  • Coordinating health and safety during the pre-construction phase
  • Carrying out design risk reviews
  • Preparing and reviewing pre-construction information
  • Liaising with architects, engineers and contractors to reduce risks
  • Attending design meetings
  • Ensuring all health and safety documentation is maintained to a high standard

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate
  • Membership of IOSH (GradIOSH or higher), APS membership desirable
  • Experience acting as a CDM Principal Designer within a consultancy setting
