Job Description:

A Colchester-based multi-disciplinary consultancy delivering award-winning, architectural-led projects is looking to appoint a CDM Principal Designer. The role involves leading CDM duties across the early design stages, liaising closely with design teams to ensure safety is considered from concept through to construction. This practice offers a collaborative environment with regular design workshops and peer reviews.

Job Responsibility:

Act as Principal Designer under CDM 2015 Regulations
Provide early-stage design risk advice
Attend client and design team meetings
Carry out H&S audits and inspections
Support junior staff and contribute to internal H&S initiatives

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a CDM Principal Design role
NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent
TechIOSH or higher
Strong experience in design risk management
APS Membership preferred
A design-related qualification preferred
