Job Description

CDM Consultant – Newcastle. An established and growing construction consultancy are currently seeking a capable CDM Consultant to join their expanding Health and Safety team based in Newcastle. The role will involve working across a varied portfolio of projects throughout the North East, covering a mix of commercial, residential and public sector developments. This organisation are continuing to grow their Principal Designer and CDM offering due to a strong pipeline of secured work and repeat client instructions, and are now looking to strengthen their regional team. The successful CDM Consultant will support the delivery of CDM and Principal Designer duties across multiple construction projects, working closely with clients, designers and contractors to ensure compliance with CDM Regulations 2015. This is an excellent opportunity for a CDM professional looking to build long-term consultancy experience within a supportive and well-structured environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Assisting in the delivery of Principal Designer duties under CDM Regulations 2015
  • Reviewing design risk assessments and advising on hazard elimination and risk reduction
  • Preparing and reviewing pre-construction information
  • Attending design team meetings and providing competent CDM advice
  • Liaising with clients, designers and contractors throughout the project lifecycle
  • Supporting the preparation of health and safety files
  • Undertaking site inspections and producing written reports

Requirements

  • Previous experience within a CDM or Health and Safety role
  • Confident communicator
  • Good understanding of CDM Regulations
  • Organised and methodical
  • Able to manage multiple projects
  • Keen to progress within a consultancy environment
