Job Description:

This CDL-A driver role is a critical support position for our construction operations as we continue to expand equipment and project demand. Bringing on an experienced driver now allows us to stay ahead of mobilization needs, reduce downtime, and ensure materials are moved safely and efficiently across the Front Range. With competitive hourly pay and a focus on experienced flatbed and mountain drivers, this hire supports operational continuity, safety compliance, and long-term growth as additional equipment comes online

Job Responsibility:

  • Operate a truck that transports cargo to and from specified destinations
  • Prepare, receive and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick up of goods to ensure timely service
  • Load, secure and unload cargo
  • Maintain radio or telephone contact with dispatcher to receive delivery or pick up instructions or to receive notice of changes in scheduled delivery or pick up
  • Maintain logs of travel and cargo according to federal and state regulations
  • May be responsible for vehicle maintenance and presentation
  • Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
  • Prepares, receives, and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick up of goods to ensure timely service

Requirements:

  • Must hold valid CDL Class A
  • Must be eligible to drive under RK’s insurance policy
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures
  • All employees are accountable for safety and health and are empowered to stop work if an unsafe condition is present
  • RK Mechanical employees and subcontractors are required to implement and maintain all safety and health systems practices including the training requirements of RK Mechanical Orientation, shop specific orientation, CPR/First Aid/AED/Bloodborne Pathogens, Hazard Identification and Reporting, and OSHA 10
  • Minimum Physical Requirements: Work outside, inside, and in dusty, noisy and hazardous areas
  • Work in high places, tight places, confined spaces and/or other adverse locations
  • Climb, balance, squat, kneel and crouch
  • Work in all types of weather
  • Must have working knowledge of all trade materials and tools
  • Ability to lift and carry 51 to 75 lbs. occasionally, and/or 31 to 45 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 16 to 22 pounds of force constantly to move objects
