Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records
Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a clean driving record
Doubles/Triples Endorsement preferred
Physical ability to lift, push or move product weighing an average of 40-60 pounds and as much as 100 pounds occasionally

Job Responsibility

Safely and efficiently operate a tractor-trailer and transport doubles (potentially triples) between Sysco facility and shuttle yards
Hooking and unhooking of equipment
Practicing Safe Work Methods
Adhering to DOT requirements
Completing pre trip inspections
May be required to unload/deliver various products to customer locations on an assigned route schedule

Report all safety issues and/or repairs required
Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
Ensure all required route paperwork is with tractor trailer load and available to driver upon dispatch
Drive and deliver trailers according to predetermined route schedule
Perform hook/unhook procedures per safety guidelines
Park and store tractor trailers in designated areas
