Job Description

The role offers strong exposure to Modern Trade customers and commercial decision-making, with opportunities to deepen business partnering capabilities across channels. This position provides valuable support to the CD Finance team in driving total performance management for CBD spends through enablers and analysis as the performance management champion. You will also need to independently drive performance management and decision support for assigned Modern Trade customers, ensuring accurate, timely, and decision-ready financial insights. You will serve as the main finance partner for specific channels and customers aligned within the team. The role operates with general guidance from the CD Finance Modern Trade Lead, translating business briefs into structured analyses, clean working files, and clear actions. The incumbent is expected to own recurring processes and customer-related issues end-to-end, escalating material risks or ad hoc complexities.

Job Responsibility

  • Drive Performance Management of Total CBD Spends together with CDF Team
  • Prepare financial simulations and analysis to enable informed decision-making, with clear assumptions and recommendations
  • Support CDF MT and DT Leads in the preparation of working files for monthly updates to the Business Unit (CSP and MT) leads and to the BU Finance leads
  • Prepare financial presentations and submissions for forecasts
  • Ensure operational accuracy and monitoring of CBD Spends vs Forecast
  • Work closely with CD Operations team in driving spend discipline and hygiene
  • Provide Decision Support and Timely Analysis on High-Value Business Priorities
  • Business Cases for new investments or changes to existing business models
  • ROI analysis for changes to customer contracts
  • Long-range planning for key customers
  • Investment optimization and growth plans for priority customers
  • Support CDF MT Lead on driving business performance interventions

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in Finance
  • Basic knowledge of Management Accounting, Reporting, and Budgeting
  • Experience in business partnering roles preferred
  • Commercial support and decision support (including preparing financial models and ROI analysis)
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision, translating high-level guidance into structured outputs and solutions
  • Comfortable managing multiple customers and priorities in a fast-paced, lean environment
  • Experience in investment evaluation, analysis and tracking KPIs
  • Strong analytical capabilities with bias to drive action
  • Advanced skills in Excel
