We are a leading organisation responsible for the maintenance and management of a vital 25-km stretch of highway in London. Your Role: As a CCTV/Duty Controller, you will play a crucial role in monitoring the network, ensuring rapid response to incidents, and maintaining seamless operations on our highways and tunnels. Job Responsibility:
Ensure the ongoing operations are safe, effective, and efficient
Oversee the Tunnel CCTV system, keeping an eye out for any hazards or debris
Manage tunnel closure procedures and prepare detailed reports
Record all incidents, accidents, and near misses in the IOI system
Liaise with Emergency Services and relevant authorities as necessary
Maintain communication with the Operations and Maintenance team concerning any major incidents
Provide on-site office and reception duties, including handling deliveries and managing petty cash
Update vehicle allocation logs and maintain key holding for vehicles and buildings
Support the Head of Operations and Maintenance with administrative tasks as needed
Requirements:
A proactive individual with strong observational skills
Previous experience in a similar position
Excellent communication abilities to liaise with various stakeholders
Experience in monitoring systems or incident response is preferred
A commitment to safety and operational excellence
Must be flexible to work the shift pattern on rotation
