Unitrust Protection Services (UK) Ltd have an exciting opportunity available for a CCTV Controller to join our team. Working within this flagship building and prestigious environment in Canary Wharf your primary role is to ensure the security of people, premises, and property, protecting the reputation of the client/tenants and being proactive and polite when dealing with situations and emergencies on site. As a CCTV Controller, you will supervise all aspects of the client’s/tenant’s security requirements and support the Security Manager in the day-to-day running of the security function. This position forms a key part in assisting the Security Manager with daily tasks and objectives that need to be adhered to in line with Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Service Level Agreement (SLA). Further, in the absence of the Site Manager, you may be required to step up as required. You will support the delivery of a truly exceptional customer journey for both staff and visitors. To achieve this, you will be/become well versed in the processes and practices of a Security Supervisor professional. Excellence in customer service will be at the heart of the role. You will be part of a well-drilled security operation. To ensure synergy across our service providers, we work with a 'one team' approach to successfully deliver an excellent customer journey so in this role you will work closely with cleaning, maintenance, and Front of House teams to provide an environment that is welcoming and relaxed yet safe and secure at all times.

All Assignment Instructions / Operations Manual or Standard Operating Procedures are to be reviewed, understood, and followed
Completion of rostered duties and all associated tasks or responsibilities to the highest possible standard
Ensure that all Health and Safety and Environmental procedures are followed and do not undertake any activity which could breach the SIA, GDPR or other relevant regulations
To support internal and external audit processes from Unitrust Security representatives, Client/Tenant Representatives, the SIA, any other relevant body with a relevant interest and valid reason for inspection or compliance checks
To be resilient to working in the most sensitive environments, always dealing with any conflict with a respectful and empathic approach
Be prepared to manage a wide variety and diversity of scenarios, people, and challenges
Assist in the induction, development, or ongoing training of new team members across the disciplines where appropriate
Provide a highly visible proactive security approach with emphasis on access and egress controls.
To operate internal / external security CCTV systems on a regular basis ensuring familiarity of site layout, building and GDPR processes.
Upkeep of key asset tracking and other administrative tasks pertaining to the security control room and workload activities - archiving daily paperwork, clear reporting writing, ID card management, IT movement, records etc.
Comply with all GDPR procedures and processes
Ensure Health and Safety of staff and visitors as per safety file. Responding to all emergencies in accordance with Control Room procedures.
To play an integral role in any emergency including evacuation, dealing with antisocial behaviour, first aid incidents (or assistance to trained first-aiders)
To prevent loss, damage, and theft of assets by carrying out regular camera Patrols
Requirements:
Valid SIA SG/DS licence
CCTV Licence
Demonstrate the ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure
Surveillance and access control system knowledge
Excellent Communication Skills
Nice to have:
Previous CCTV/Controller experience desired
