In depth knowledge of CCGT power generation technology, including combustion and steam turbines, HRSG’s, ACC, water treatment plant and other general auxiliary equipment

Computer literacy with Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS)

Job Responsibility

Establish and recruit a maintenance team, ensuring all personnel are qualified and competent – Mechanical, Electrical and Control &Instrument (C&I) personnel
Develop and implement all required maintenance documentation and systems, including: Policies and procedures
Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
Maintenance plans and schedules
Spare parts inventory requirements
Periodic, predictive and preventative maintenance programs, calibrations and lubrication schedules
Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Asset Management Program
Identify and acquire all maintenance tools and test equipment required pre COD
Establish and set up functional workshops for the various maintenance disciplines

Job Responsibility

Establish and recruit an Operations team, ensuring all personnel are qualified and competent – Shift Charge Engineers, Operators, Plant Chemist
Develop and implement all required operation documentation, including: Policies and Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), Operation Logs and reports, Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) PTW system, Emergency Response procedures
Support the Owners Engineers in reviewing engineering deliverables, technical specifications, and contractor submissions
Identify and acquire all tools and test equipment required by the operations department including for the Water Treatment Plant and Lab
Manage the participation of the operations team in commissioning, performance testing, and plant start-up activities, ensuring alignment with OEM and project requirements
Ensure operational readiness for plant takeover
Lead a team of skilled operational personnel in the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the CCGT power station
Ensure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and safety standards

Good practical experience in the inspection of a range of plant components, in particular steam and water pressure parts (both in the new / as-installed condition and after in-service degradation has taken place)
An appreciation of the damage / degradation mechanisms that can take place on the components being inspected
Working in conventional power or clean energy sectors (primarily CCGT, Biomass and Energy from Waste plants)
As a minimum you must hold PCN Level 2 certification in magnetic particle testing, penetrant testing and ultrasonic testing of welds
