VACANCY – CCGT Power Station Maintenance Manager Berakas Power Company Sdn Bhd (BPC), a Power Utility Company operating within Brunei Darussalam, is currently seeking to recruit a suitably qualified candidate for the post of Power Station Maintenance Manager We are seeking a highly skilled Power Station Maintenance Manager to lead the Maintenance team for a new 132 MW Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) plant, currently under construction and equipped with Siemens SGT-800 gas turbine technology. This is a unique opportunity to take a senior role in a state of the art, high-efficiency, power generation facility from construction through to commercial operation and beyond.

Job Responsibility:

  • Establish and recruit a maintenance team, ensuring all personnel are qualified and competent – Mechanical, Electrical and Control &Instrument (C&I) personnel
  • Develop and implement all required maintenance documentation and systems, including: Policies and procedures
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
  • Maintenance plans and schedules
  • Spare parts inventory requirements
  • Periodic, predictive and preventative maintenance programs, calibrations and lubrication schedules
  • Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Asset Management Program
  • Identify and acquire all maintenance tools and test equipment required pre COD
  • Establish and set up functional workshops for the various maintenance disciplines
  • Manage the Long Term Program (LTP) with Siemens Energy for the Maintenance of the SGT-800 gas turbine units in preparation for COD
  • Support the Owners Engineers in reviewing engineering deliverables, technical specifications, and contractor submissions
  • Become familiar with the Long Term Program (LTP) with Siemens Energy for the Maintenance of the SGT-800 gas turbine units in preparation for COD
  • Manage the participation of the maintenance teams in commissioning, performance testing, and plant start-up activities, ensuring alignment with OEM and project requirements
  • Ensure maintenance team is operationally ready for plant takeover
  • Lead a team of skilled mechanical, electrical and C&I maintenance personnel
  • Oversea the safe daily and long term maintenance of all power plant equipment
  • Coordinate schedules and conduct mechanical, electrical and C&I preventative maintenance plans and schedules as well as all maintenance repairs in order to maintain high availability and reliability of the power plant
  • Implement robust asset management, maintenance, and reliability strategies to maximize plant performance and minimize downtime
  • Lead in troubleshooting and perform root cause analysis during unplanned equipment breakdown or issues
  • Manage the LTP program with Siemens Energy for the plant gas turbines
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and safety standards
  • Develop and manage the plants maintenance budget, reporting, KPI’s and performance analytics
  • Inspire, mentor, and develop a talented and capable team of maintenance personnel
  • Ensure proper documentation is available for the Maintenance Team

Requirements:

  • Recognized Engineering Degree or equivalent qualifications and/or experience acceptable to the Company
  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in a senior level position at a power station
  • or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • In depth knowledge of CCGT power generation technology, including combustion and steam turbines, HRSG’s, ACC, water treatment plant and other general auxiliary equipment
  • Experience in Gas Turbine LTSA/LTP management
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Demonstrated leadership with excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and team management skills
  • Proactive, pragmatic and results oriented
  • Evaluates own behavior and personal impact and demonstrates an adaptive management style with ability to adapt to different cultures
  • Proficient command of the English language, both spoken and written

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience with Siemens SGT-800 gas turbines
  • Previous experience with Siemens Long Term Program (LTP) for SGT-800 gas turbines
  • Previous experience working outside native country or region, proven ability to deliver results in a multi cultural environment
