If you’re committed to delivering engaging lessons, making a difference in students' lives, and fostering a love for learning, we want to hear from you. We have a great opportunity available to join Novus Gower, our prison education provider at HMP Parc, working as a Catering Tutor within the Youth unit.

Requirements:

  • Hold a teaching qualification and where applicable, relevant subject specialist qualification - with a commitment to obtain the outstanding qualification within 12 months
  • Hold a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
  • Have experience of creating stimulating, vibrant environments conducive to learning and motivational for learners
  • Track record showing achievement of quality targets
  • Experience producing accurate and timely reports
  • Have effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrate an ability to motivate and enthuse learners
  • Have excellent organisational skills to prioritise workload, and meet deadlines and targets
  • Engage in positive team-working

Nice to have:

  • Track record of effective teaching and delivery of subject (Desirable)
  • Track record of working effectively with people presenting with challenging behaviour (Desirable)
