By creating and preparing a varied and nourishing menu, you’ll directly support the wellbeing of our residents and make a genuine difference to their quality of life. Job Responsibility:

  • Designing a varied menu that reflects our residents’ tastes and supports their nutritional needs
  • Ensuring mealtimes are always a high-quality experience
  • Maintaining the highest food standards
  • Supporting, training and directing the kitchen team
  • Mentoring and motivating on quality, safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards
  • Assisting the General Manager in developing and managing the budgetary, human and material resources within the department

Requirements:

  • Please ensure you are able to travel to and from Langford Park (EX5 5AG) to ensure a 07:30am start
  • You should have recent experience of cooking for large numbers in a commercial setting
  • You must have previously managed and motivated a catering team
  • You’ll have experience of providing food for people with special dietary requirements
  • We’d like someone who is flexible, who can work alternate weekends
  • An enhanced DBS check is required for this role
