Job Description

We currently have an opportunity for a Catering Team Leader to join our team. You will be responsible for driving an efficient, effective, and successful catering operation, ensuring a safe working environment for all while delivering excellent customer, colleague, and stakeholder experiences. You will also seek out and maximise commercial opportunities to grow the business and improve profitability.

Job Responsibility

  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment at all times
  • Act as a champion for company values and embed them effectively
  • Seek out and maximise commercial opportunities to grow sales and cash profit
  • Ensure space allocation of stock for maximum operating efficiency
  • Drive standards for excellent customer satisfaction and retention
  • Act as an ambassador for change, supporting and embedding new business initiatives
  • Build effective relationships and communicate with internal teams, stakeholders, and customers
  • Monitor competitor activity and use insights to drive competitive advantage
  • Review and analyse data to identify trends and create solutions for improved efficiency and profitability
  • Plan and maintain depot layouts and ensure correct product ranges are stocked and monitored
  • Lead and develop a positive team culture with open communication and professional leadership
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, stock management, and health & safety legislation

Requirements

  • Experience in a catering, wholesale, or retail environment
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify growth opportunities
  • Highly organised with exceptional planning and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills
  • Empathetic and empowering leadership style with clear delegation
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to create actionable plans
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexible approach to working hours and travel during project phases
