The Catering Supervisor at American Dining Creations is responsible for overseeing and coordinating catering operations, leading a team of event staff, and maintaining high standards of overall event success. Your focus will be on creating memorable experiences for our guests while efficiently managing resources and fostering a positive work environment, while working in collaboration with the on-site Catering Director.
Job Responsibility:
Supervise front and back of the house day to day catering procedures
Serve as a contact for catering services prior to and after events, ensuring their needs and expectations are met or exceeded
Oversee delivery, setup, breakdown, and execution of catering events
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of logistics, food preparation, and service delivery
Develop and implement service standards and procedures to uphold quality and consistency across all events
Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of catering event staff, including servers, bartenders, drivers, and support staff
Monitor the quality of food, portion control and dietary provisions as requested
Provide excellent customer service to all guests
Field and resolve any requests or challenges that may arise during events, ensuring guest satisfaction
Assisting in the development and implementation of marketing strategies to promote catering services
Take inventory for catering equipment, supplies, and keep all catering items in top condition
May be assigned other duties and responsibilities as needed
Requirements:
3+ years' catering and event planning experience in hotels, conference centers, private clubs, universities or similar environments
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong leadership and organizational skills, detail oriented, and customer focused
Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Knowledge of food safety and service regulations
Familiarity with industry trends and innovations
Proficient with computer skills including Microsoft Office, CATERTRAX and other online order systems
Able to work a flexible schedule that may include weekdays, evenings, and weekends
Must be able to lift 50lbs, push and pull heavy catering cart, bend, climb stairs, stand, and walk for entire scheduled shift
