Catering Sales Manager – Royal Dublin Society (RDS), Dublin | Full-Time / Permanent. We are now looking for a Catering Sales Manager to assist in shaping and realising the venue food and drinks strategy, ensuring the development of premium experiences that are unique, exciting and first-class at the RDS - one of Ireland’s most prestigious event venues, hosting conferences, exhibitions, concerts, sporting events, and the world-famous Dublin Horse Show! As Catering Sales Manager you will be responsible in developing and delivering exceptional food and guest experience is critical to the success and reputation of the food and beverage offering. You will work closely with the operations team and our partners at the RDS to develop and deliver the venues progressive strategy. This an exciting opportunity for a catering sales specialist who is passionate, innovative, forward thinking and quality driven, evidenced by the delivery of fresh ideas and operational excellence.
Job Responsibility:
Work in conjunction with the RDS Venue Director for the involvement in all functions of the sales team
Respond to all Sales enquiries in a timely fashion to maximise revenue and support the Operations Team with their sales objectives & timelines
Ensure files are created for all events and updated in the booking system in accordance with venue guidelines
Main Liaison contact for the RDS Sales Team and develop and enhance interdepartmental relationships
Works very closely with the culinary team on menu selection & delivery
Upsell client events and manage function space to maximise Venue Profit and work closely with the hospitality managers are keylarge events
Having complete knowledge of all RDS Hospitality standard operating procedures (SOP) and consistently and proactively review the SOP manual to ensure that all standard benchmarks are achieved
Motivating the staff to achieve a friendly atmosphere of superior guest service and product quality
Ensure that KPI’s of the contract are compliant in all areas
Analyse and action against client satisfaction surveys to improve services
Ensure compliance in all statutory requirements of Employment Legislation and Licensing
Requirements:
Minimum HND/Degree or equivalent in catering
Highly proficient in MS Office and general computer skills
Strong proven sales experience
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Financial and cost awareness
Strong people development skills
A proven ability to work within a Food & Beverage environment
A background in events & conference working environment
