Catering Sales Manager – Royal Dublin Society (RDS), Dublin | Full-Time / Permanent. We are now looking for a Catering Sales Manager to assist in shaping and realising the venue food and drinks strategy, ensuring the development of premium experiences that are unique, exciting and first-class at the RDS - one of Ireland’s most prestigious event venues, hosting conferences, exhibitions, concerts, sporting events, and the world-famous Dublin Horse Show!
Job Responsibility:
Assist in shaping and realising the venue food and drinks strategy
Develop and deliver exceptional food and guest experience
Work closely with the operations team and partners to develop and deliver the venues progressive strategy
Respond to all Sales enquiries in a timely fashion to maximise revenue
Support the Operations Team with their sales objectives & timelines
Ensure files are created for all events and updated in the booking system
Main Liaison contact for the RDS Sales Team
Develop and enhance interdepartmental relationships
Work closely with the culinary team on menu selection & delivery
Upsell client events and manage function space to maximise Venue Profit
Work closely with the hospitality managers on key/large events
Have complete knowledge of all RDS Hospitality standard operating procedures (SOP)
Motivating the staff to achieve a friendly atmosphere of superior guest service and product quality
Ensure that KPI’s of the contract are compliant in all areas
Analyse and action against client satisfaction surveys to improve services
Ensure compliance in all statutory requirements of Employment Legislation and Licensing
Requirements:
Minimum HND/Degree or equivalent in catering
Highly proficient in MS Office and general computer skills
Strong proven sales experience
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Financial and cost awareness
Strong people development skills
A proven ability to work within a Food & Beverage environment
A background in events & conference working environment
