Job Description

We’re recruiting an experienced Catering & Hospitality Supervisor who is passionate about exceptional food and world-class customer service, and who can confidently oversee all Compass Group UK&I catering and hospitality operations for Compass Group Ireland on a full-time basis, contracted to 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday. As a Catering & Hospitality Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring our kitchens, service counters, coffee dock and hospitality services run smoothly while helping to deliver truly incredible food and service experiences.

Job Responsibility

  • Plan, organise, and prepare equipment, food, staff, and displays
  • Coordinate closely with kitchen and service teams across multiple floors to ensure timely preparation and delivery
  • Deliver food and beverages to meeting and hospitality spaces with exceptional attention to detail and presentation
  • Supervise daily catering and hospitality operations and staffing to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Ensure all hospitality and free issue areas are clean, well-stocked, and visually appealing at all times
  • Schedule, manage, and prioritise work to meet service timelines and client expectations
  • Foster strong teamwork and collaboration across departments
  • Train, support, and mentor team members to maintain high standards of service and customer care, especially when introducing new standards or initiatives
  • Act as a key point of contact for customers, responding to queries or concerns promptly and professionally
  • Liaise with management to monitor KPIs and service performance
  • Implement and review Health & Safety, food safety, standard operating procedures and hygiene standards to ensure full compliance
  • Represent Compass Group UK&I professionally, maintaining a positive brand image at all times
  • Supervise and lead high end hospitality dinners and functions as required

Requirements

  • Have previous experience in a hotel, catering, or hospitality supervisory role
  • Be passionate about great-tasting food and delivering outstanding customer service
  • Have experience leading or supervising teams in a similar environment
  • Demonstrate strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Possess excellent communication and presentation skills, with fluent English
  • Be able to manage multiple tasks and work calmly under pressure
  • Be a positive, motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Hold a Basic Food Hygiene certificate (or equivalent)
  • Show ambition and a desire to continuously develop and upskill
