The Catering Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of catering events, ensuring excellent customer service, high-quality food presentation, and adherence to health and safety standards. This role includes supervisory duties and financial responsibilities such as budget management, cost control, and revenue tracking to ensure events are executed efficiently and profitably. This position also includes leading staff at times to execute an event.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee the daily operations of catering events
Ensure excellent customer service, high-quality food presentation, and adherence to health and safety standards
Supervisory duties
Financial responsibilities such as budget management, cost control, and revenue tracking
Ensure events are executed efficiently and profitably
Leading staff at times to execute an event
Requirements:
Serve as the primary point of contact for all catering events in the building
Manage event timelines, menus, and logistics
Liaising with Resident Services and Residents to organize, set up and execute catering requests
Partner with the Programs department to align event setups, layouts, and expectations
Work closely with the Chef & Food and Beverage department staff to align catering needs with available resources
Oversee catering setup, service, and breakdown for events of varying sizes
Maintain catering supplies, inventory, and vendor relationships
Monitor catering budgets and track costs
Act as the lead coordinator for catering, ensuring responsibilities are clearly defined and delegated when needed
Communicate effectively across departments
Provide post-event evaluations and feedback
Deliver exceptional customer service to residents and guests
Respond to special requests, resolve issues quickly
Assisting in the accurate tracking, recording, and reconciliation of inventory levels
Supporting the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of POS systems
Coordinating and processing billing requests
Assisting with daily dining room activities
