Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable catering assistant with 1-2 years experience to support the day-to-day food and service delivery across Seaford College. This role is essential in ensuring pupils, staff, and visitors receive high-quality, nutritious meals served with care, efficiency, and attention to detail.

Job Responsibility

  • Support the preparation, service, and presentation of food to a high standard
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across kitchen and service areas
  • Assist with food labelling, temperature checks, and allergen controls
  • Provide excellent customer service to pupils, staff, and visitors
  • Set up and clear service areas, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
  • Follow all food safety, health & safety, and safeguarding procedures
  • Contribute to hospitality events and occasional out-of-hours functions

Requirements

  • 1-2 years experience in catering
  • Full drivers licence and access to a car (essential due to remote location)
  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Experience working within contract or high-volume catering (ideal)
  • Good Health & Safety knowledge
  • Flexible with a can-do attitude, customer-focused
  • Fun and enthusiastic
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Great attention to detail

  • Great customer service skills
  • Flexible approach to work
