Job Description:

We are urgently looking for an experienced and dedicated Catering Assistant to join one of our local schools in West Kirby to start ASAP. You must have worked in a school, nursery, or college kitchen before.

Job Responsibility:

  • Help the chef prepare fresh, healthy ingredients for school lunches
  • Set up the service counters with hot food, salads, and desserts
  • Serve tasty meals to students and staff with a friendly smile
  • Keep the kitchen sparkling by washing dishes and clearing away equipment
  • Ensure the dining area is wiped down and ready for the next group
  • Assist with basic food prep like making sandwiches or prepping fruit
  • Follow food safety rules to keep our kitchen safe and hygienic
  • Work as part of a fast-paced, happy team to get meals out on time

Requirements:

  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
  • You must have the Right to Work in the UK
  • Experience in a school, nursery, or college kitchen
