Job Description

Mariposa Care has an opportunity available for a Catering Assistant to join the bank team in our friendly care home, Holly Lodge in Shildon.

Job Responsibility

Support the Chef with food preparation and storage
Ensure different dietary requirements are met where necessary
Assist in maintaining accurate records
Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene

Requirements

Ideally, you will have food hygiene certificate and a Level 2 catering qualification or equivalent (or a commitment to undertake further training and development, relevant to the role)
Ideally, you will have worked in a care home kitchen before, but if you haven't you'll still have experience of preparing and serving creative, high quality and nutritious meals in a commercial environment
