Catering Assistant/ Operational Support Job at Aramark (Decatur)

Job Description

The Catering Assistant/ Operational Support role is responsible for performing various food and beverage-related tasks in school kitchens. This position requires individuals with a high attention to detail, strong dedication to customer service along with a positive and friendly demeanor. This position will maintain the cleanliness of the equipment and Food Service Area. This position will be required to operate an Aramark vehicle.

Job Responsibility

Always deliver exemplary customer service
Prepare and serve hot food
Ensure accurate handling of all food products and equipment to maintain food safety standards
Ensure cleanliness of food service work area
Maintain daily side work, complete logs, restocking and cleaning duties
Keep accurate accounts and spoilage records
Work with diverse populations in an encouraging and positive manner
Respectfully handle guest complaints
Perform on and offsight catering in compliance with ServSafe regulations
Drive to and from catering sites using company vehicle along with site set up
Oversee logistics of daily catering operations
Interface with chef manager to ensure coverage both in kitchen and catering

Requirements

Compliance with all company policies and procedures regarding ServSafe, safety, security, emergencies and energy
General knowledge of Microsoft suite
Must have valid drivers license and clean driving record
Report to work on time and in complete uniform
Maintain cleaning schedule of equipment and facilities
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
Must be flexible and willing to work a multifaceted schedule, occasional weekends and holidays are required
