Job Description:

We are partnering with a leading housing organisation to recruit an experienced Category Manager to join their high-performing procurement team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded professional to take ownership of strategic sourcing and category management across a varied and high-impact portfolio. Please note this is a 12-month contract initially and offers flexible working with 1-2 days a week in the London Office.

Job Responsibility:

Develop and deliver effective procurement and category strategies to ensure value for money
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to drive performance and innovation
Conduct market research and analysis to inform sourcing decisions
Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements
Provide management information on category spend and procurement efficiencies
Lead continuous improvement and ensure best practice procurement across the organisation

Requirements:

Proven experience applying Public Contracts Regulations to end-to-end procurement
Track record of delivering complex, high-value procurement solutions
Experience in technology-related procurement and contract management
Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills
Advanced Excel and MS Office proficiency
CIPS qualification (or studying towards)
