Calling all Category Managers… Are you looking for a new opportunity within a growing FMCG business, working in a fast-paced and fun environment? Then look no further! Signature Career Management is working with a food manufacturer based in the Greater Manchester area, which is number 1 in its category and is working hard to maintain this status. Specialising in private label and operating across several channels, this business invests heavily in its people and products.

Job Responsibility

  • Take ownership of a key account, a key strategic customer with strong existing relationships and exciting growth opportunities
  • Analysing performance across a 30+ SKU range – identifying opportunities to simplify, optimise, and grow
  • Turning data into compelling, commercial stories that influence decision-making
  • Supporting range reviews and helping shape the future direction of the category
  • Managing day-to-day engagement with key accounts, maintaining and strengthening an already strong relationship
  • Balancing internal ambition with external reality – ensuring the right ideas are prioritised and executed effectively

Requirements

  • Strong analytical capability
  • confident using Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
  • Comfortable working with data and turning it into insight
  • FMCG experience is beneficial but not essential
  • Personality – someone with energy, presence, and a bit of edge
  • Confident communicator who can influence and challenge
  • Naturally curious with their own ideas and perspective
  • Detail-oriented but able to see the bigger picture
  • Self-starter who gets stuck in and takes ownership
  • Someone who wants more than just a job – this is about building a career
