Toolstation, part of the Travis Perkins Group, is seeking a Category Manager for Landscaping. The role supports the Landscaping category with a focus on Trade customers, driving convenience, service, range, availability and value across seasonal and project-led landscaping needs. Responsibilities include strategic market reviews, range planning, supplier selection, route-to-market decisions, cost of goods calculations, and supplier performance management. The role is hybrid based within commutable distance of Northampton.
Job Responsibility:
Propose, define, and implement product category strategies
Accountable for developing and executing specific category plans
Deliver the category budget for sales and margin
Accountable for delivering a product range that offers the optimum balance of quality and value
Execute brilliant commercial projects across the business by collaborating with internal stakeholders
Manage, lead and coach a Category Assistant.
Requirements:
Proven experience managing a landscaping category within a fast-paced, omni-channel retailer
Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
Confident in ability to analyse and interpret information from a variety of sources
Commercial retail experience ideally in Trade and DIY or other fast paced retail sectors
