Category Manager - Energy (m/f/x) at Qemetica, a leading chemical group in the European market. The role involves strategic sourcing and management of energy-related products, driving sustainability and innovation.

Job Responsibility:

  • Energy Procurement for Source to Contract: Leading global sourcing activities for Qemetica Group for Energy-related products
  • Strategic Category Management: Proactively shaping and executing comprehensive energy category strategies through bold, insight-driven, initiatives and forward‑looking actions that drive value creation, cost optimization and long‑term organizational impact, fully aligned with business and sustainability objectives and ambitions
  • Supplier & Contract Management: Negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, overseeing performance and ensuring compliance with agreed terms
  • Compliance & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partnering with local teams and legal stakeholders to meet regional regulatory requirements and align sourcing activities with global standards
  • Sustainability & Innovation: Supporting the shift toward renewable and low carbon energy. Identifying innovative sourcing and ESG aligned opportunities
  • Process & Data Management: Establishing standardized procurement processes and supervising energy master data and reporting tools
  • Demand & Market Management: Working with energy needs forecasts, monitoring markets, and managing supply risks

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in procurement with 3+ years of experience in energy
  • Experience working in an international environment, preferably within a global matrix organization
  • Preferred experience in category management related to sustainable and renewable energy sources
  • Strong understanding of commodity markets, hedging strategies, and regulatory frameworks
  • Advanced skills in data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI)
  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and communication skills
  • Proficient in English and Polish
  • Degree in Economics, Business, Engineering, or similar
