Job Description:

We’re seeking an experienced Category Manager,This role would be ideal for someone returning from maternity leave. Category Manager : Cleaning (Job Share, 3 days per week).

Job Responsibility:

  • Identifying and developing ranges
  • Competitive Price in the market
  • Sourcing products
  • Negotiating with suppliers
  • Developing successful category plans
  • Determining both local and overseas product trends and converting these into sales
  • Ensuring all products meet legal and statutory obligations
  • Designing promotional programs to maximise sales

Requirements:

  • Proven buying experience at a Category Manager level, in a large supermarket/ FMCG environment or have been identified as a high performing Assistant Category Manager ready for their first Category Management appointment
  • Success in developing and executing a clear customer focused Category Plan that is aligned to the overarching divisional strategy and based on sound commercial insights / data
  • A strong background and demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence with cross functional and external stakeholders at all levels across the business
  • The ability to become an industry expert in the field of responsibility within Australia
  • A passion for product and product development and at the forefront of innovation and continuous improvement
  • A reputation as an outstanding leader, influencer and deliverer of exceptional results
  • Ability to coach and develop a high performing category team and develop a culture where the customer is the focus and at the centre of all decisions made.
