The Category Manager-Aftermarket is an integral part of the procurement team. The initial goal will be to gain a solid knowledge of the team’s supply base, company, and procurement processes, and understanding of the roles and personnel of associated work groups inside International Motors. As a Category Manager-Aftermarket you will be a member of a Category Management Team (CMT), which provides the opportunity to work cross functionally within International Motors interfacing with the product development, program management, quality, manufacturing, risk management, finance, logistics, aftermarket parts, product pricing, supply chain and more. As a Category Manager-Aftermarket, you will be responsible for managing an estimated spend of ~$200M. The category you will be responsible for includes Interiors, Exteriors, Frame Assembly, HVAC, Engine Cooling, Fasteners, etc.. Demonstrating solid performance in this role will position you well for advancement into jobs of higher responsibility within International Motors Procurement.
Job Responsibility:
Influencing internal and external stakeholders in the development and execution of strategy
Cross functional collaboration
Management of Cost Reduction projects
Leading strategic sourcing activities for new programs and transfer business
Supplier contract negotiations and administration
Supplier performance management
Working closely with the Best Cost Country Sourcing Team on projects and developing strategies for tail spend suppliers to effectively consolidate the supply base.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of purchasing/procurement experience
At least 1 years of lead experience
OR Master's degree and at least 3 years of purchasing/procurement experience
At least 1 years of lead experience
OR At least 8 years of purchasing/procurement experience
At least 1 years of lead experience
