Job Description

As a Category Management Assistant, you will support the Category Management team in creating the perfect portfolio for design lovers across Europe. In this role, you will contribute to shaping a well-balanced assortment by combining exclusive Westwing Collection products with carefully selected Brand Partners. We are looking for a highly organised and analytical team player with a strong passion for Home & Living, an eye for premium products, and a curiosity for market trends and consumer behaviour. This position is permanent and based in Munich.

Job Responsibility

  • Monitor the end-to-end process of the SKU creation after initial selection until go-live in close collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Collect relevant product information in collaboration with the Brand Buying team (e.g., product images, dimensions)
  • Prepare seasonal category go-lives and conduct continuous onsite checks (e.g., categorisations, product readiness, availability)
  • Support performance tracking as well as strategy preparation (e.g., data preparation, analysis, portfolio visualisations)
  • Work closely with Supply Chain Management, Production, and Brand Buying teams
  • Research market trends, consumer preferences, and emerging AI tools

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or recognised commercial qualification in Business Administration, Communication, Retail Business, or related fields
  • first practical experience through internships or a permanent role is a plus
  • Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel (pivot tables, basic formulas, data handling)
  • Strong affinity for the Home & Living premium market
  • Interest in AI tools and digital solutions supporting category management
  • Strong attention to detail and a structured working style
  • Fluency in English
