Job Description

We have an excellent opportunity within Commercial Department for a Category Insight Manager. The role is a full time permanent position working Monday to Friday 08.30 - 17.00. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving and delivering the agreed category vision. Delivery of projects as well as working alongside the Commercial Managers to maximise profitable growth.

  • Ensure excellent Customer Relations are maintained in a professional manner by supporting our customers with best-in-class category management
  • Prepare and deliver monthly category scorecard and market updates, both internally and externally
  • Manage the ongoing supply of category research requirements with agencies and present findings both internally and externally
  • Manage weekly insight snap-shots of competitor activity and notify the business of any key changes in the market
  • Manage the Brandbank process alongside NPD
  • Be an integral part of the customer strategy days and product submission sessions
  • Analyse and make recommendations to macro space and merchandising layouts in line with the category vision and customer decision tree
  • Review the effectiveness of promotions and make recommendations as to future mechanics
  • Work as a team member within the Commercial function and Stateside as a whole and be prepared to offer assistance and advice to all colleagues
  • Attend and present key category insight findings to different stakeholders requiring differing approaches and styles
  • Manage and support our customers with marketing activity that will drive category sales and growth
  • Engage with internal and external colleagues to create positive working networks
  • Use data effectively on ad hoc projects to help customers make decisions that are right for the market and the customer

Requirements
